The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary: August 15th at 8:30 AM in St. Eugene Church
On August 15th, Catholics celebrate the Assumption of Mary, when we honor our belief that, at the end of her earthly life, the Blessed Virgin Mary was taken body and soul into the glory of Heaven.
The Assumption reminds us of Mary’s unique role in God’s plan of salvation and points us toward the hope promised to all the faithful—the resurrection of the body and eternal life with God.
While the Solemnity is not a Holy Day of Obligation this year, Queen of Peace Parish - Chicago invites you to join us in celebrating this beautiful feast on Saturday, August 15th, at 8:30 AM in St. Eugene Church
Blessed Virgin Mary, O Queen assumed into Heaven, pray for us!
